It would be useful to explain why this older version is used instead of one that's more current. Will it not work with current versions? Do users really need to go get an older version to do this, instead of the current one that they quite possibly already have?

It would also be easier for the user to follow if you changed the wording to avoid specifying your own dataset as what the user should specifically use, since they won't have access to that. For example, when setting up an interpolation, it could be written: "For the input dataset, choose your point data (in my case the lake sediment contaminants data), and for the attribute, choose the variable you wish to interpolate (in my case the arsenic concentrations)."
